I loved this movie. Very funny, new, clever, and just fantastic. I was never into the old Nintendo stuff, but for any 1990's kid, this is brilliant. The graphics of the gaming references and fight scenes were pitch perfect, the acting really brought you into the story and engaged you and it was edited to its prime, with a few hiccups, and I really liked it.
But, when you scratch away the surface, you can also see something else. The story was a simple "fighting for the love of your life" type thing, even if it was encrusted in a classic gaming feel. There were a couple of bumps along the way, but most important of all, it was aimed at too specific a crowd. If your forty or older, you may not know what's going, and you mightn't be able to truly appreciate it for the gem it is to me, so, if you were born after the 70's, this is a recommended movie, if you were born before and your not a big fan of movies, then, its probably not for you, however, if you like your movies, see this. I loved it.
